Michael's melodic journey has captivated audiences since his humble beginnings. From his entry in local radio markets with his CD single "Christmas in Chicago"; a Yuletide song, complete with a nostalgic “Big Band” feel with an alto sax and clarinet, he continues to garner warm responses with several radio personalities in his hometown. From Adult Contemporary to up-tempo Pop and Inspirational tunes to heartwarming ballads, to his live performances in intimate night club appearances, his discography reflects a blend of timeless cover classics and original inspirational soulful compositions. Many songs he has produced and recorded with the assistance of acclaimed recording industry arranger and film and TV composer, Chris (Christopher) Hardin. Michael Poss earned recognition on both local and national airwaves and with the Grammy® and BMI® stages. Michael has overcome health issues; three near death experiences and his incredible Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind (CE-5) experiences living in the desert. He's been active in Washington, D.C. dealing with the current unfair music industry set-backs along with fellow BMI independent songwriter/artists/and Indie labels. Many Issues concerning low royalty pay-outs at several music sites, and satellite broadcast networks over the years. He thanks his fans for supporting Indie artists and their song works. Future anticipated releases have just begun with another music video which premiered July 21st, 2026 entitled "Many Lifetimes, Many Souls". It is a mystical enchanting cinematic production which deals with reincarnation and past lives and released on YouTube.

It has been a long absence from the music scene and the industry, and he is amazed how much has changed, for the good, a lot, not for the better. April 10th was his first digital single release from his new Digital Album, THE POWER OF OUR MINDS. His music video is on YouTube and more videos will follow from this multi-talented artists who holds a liberal arts degree. He produces and directs his own videos. Yes, his new digital single release from his new album entitled, THE POWER OF OUR MINDS was released April 17th, 2026 along with his YouTube video. His full length new digital album, THE POWER OF OUR MINDS WAS RELEASED JUNE 26th, 2026 and it contains 18 new songs written by Michael. He has collected vast amounts of writings/melodies and has accumulated many life and near death experiences during his hiatus from the music biz. He's been busy in his new recording studio, arranging, recording, producing and mixing many of his new original songs that are finally available on BANDCAMP (with lyrics), an other retail sites.

Michael recalls the time many years ago when a fellow songwriter played a rough recording of a copy of a rehearsal tape on a cassette with Barbra Streisand. Marvin starts playing the familiar piano intro of the famous song, when Ms. Streisand begins singing the line... "Christmas is a lonely time of year" and NOT the familiar "Memories light the corners of my mind...". Apparently this was an early version before Alan & Marilyn Bergman collaborated with the new lyrics. As we already are familiar and know Marvin chose the most beautiful and solemn chords and perhaps the original opening line "Christmas is a lonely time.." and the chord progression made it far more solemn. Michael thought that opening lyrical line of being lonely at Christmas stuck with him many years later after losing so many friends and family members. It prompted him to write his new holiday single in 2024-2025 with that original opening line that Marvin originally had for "The Way We Were" and created Michael's own original song with thoughts and feelings about Christmas. He released his new holiday single CHRISTMAS IS A LONELY TIME OF YEAR in late November of 2025 exclusively on You Tube.
